Sweet Sixteen and Wine Huntress News

La Reve

We are getting close to Christmas and New Year’s.  I was able to get a very special price for a  sparkling wine from Domaine Carneros called Le Rêve (see photo). Crafted from 100% estate-grown fruit, it is a pure expression of our Carneros estate and has repeatedly been honored as America’s Best.  2006 Le Rêve is the fifteenth vintage in this highly distinguished line of Blanc de Blancs. The 2006 vintage presented near ideal growing conditions, yielding a small crop that displayed marvelous intensity right at press. The wine is a blend of 100% Chardonnay, including five different clones. Aged in the bottle, on the lees, for five and a half years, this superb vintage needed very little dosage to come to a perfect balance.  The 2006  Le Rêve received a 95 pt rating from Wine Enthusiast.

Many of you have asked about our holiday hours.  We will be closed December 24, 25 and 26th and reopening on Friday, December 27.
